The 3rd season of MasterChef proved to be a big surprise, as the blind chef Christine Ha took the crown! This was no surprise to me. As a matter of a fact, the second she walked into the judging area, I knew she was going to win the competition.

This is not to say I chose her because she is blind. Well, ok, this might have a little bit to do with it. But watching her cook food and especially as the competition progressed, you could tell there was something about her. You knew instantly that damn, this girl can cook!

Watching the competition as it went on, there were some really annoying people. But as they eliminated people, for the most part, they ended up eliminating the right people. I honestly think that the final few deserved to be there. They all knew how to cook. I think in the back of my mind, it would come down to Josh vs. Christine. It was amazing too, since Josh was previously voted off. I think he was definitely lucky.

I’m really looking forward to buying her cookbook. I am really curious to see what kind of recipes will show up in there. I’m sure all the things she cooked will be in there. I don’t see it yet on Amazon.com, but hopefully soon we’ll see it on the “shelves”. Congratulations Christine!
